Performing their production Love Letters, the Silver team finished 2nd in the A Classification for the 2nd week in a row. Newtown High School from Connecticut bested them by a mere 3 tenths of a point. Performing their production Juliet, the Maroon team won the Open Classification, finishing ahead of King Phillip Regional High School from Massachusetts. When rankings come out later today, we anticipate the Maroon team will be ranked 2nd in the nation, just behind perennial Open Class finalist West Johnston High School and ahead of Tarpon Springs High School from Florida. This would give the Maroon team a #1 seed in their prelims round at World Championships and the #2 overall seed there. Although, the Silver team will not be attending World Championships, we anticipate they will be ranked in the top 10-15 of all of the Scholastic A classification and will be the highest ranked team from North Carolina. Going into this weekend's performances, we were ranked #11 of the nearly 300 teams that had performed nationwide through the season.
