At
WHS, the Visual Art Program is a nurturing and challenging program.
It is continually growing with three full time art teachers
on two campuses. At the main campus, Dawn Valentino and Shawnda Rossi
offer
courses including Visual Art 1, Art 2, Art 3, Honors 3, Art 4, Honors
4, Advanced Placement Studio Art, Computer Art and Animation, Sculpture
1
and 2, Drawing, Painting 1 and 2, and Independent Study. At the 9th
Grade Center, Dianne Ziegler offers Visual Art 1, 2, and Sculpture.
Having
a strong and continually growing art program is essential in building
a well rounded education for students. We provide exciting
new opportunities for all levels of artistic abilities. We have a community
of artists who share a common love to create art and use their imaginations.
The students are encouraged to expand their skills, knowledge, appreciation
of art, and volunteer their artistic skills in the community. We will
continue to pursue our goal of creating an environment that excels
in
incorporating the visual arts into students’ everyday life.
