Hugh O'Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Conference Applications More
The North Carolina Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Conference (HOBY) is a 3-day leadership program for approximately 200 rising high school juniors (CURRENT SOPHOMORES) held from June 19 - 21, 2015, at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. HOBY Ambassadors have an opportunity to develop their critical thinking skills, learn about their personal leadership styles, and form an appreciation for community service. Wakefield HS can select one ambassador and one alternate to attend the conference. Applications are due to Mrs. Campbell in Student Services by Tuesday, November 25 at 7:30am and can be found on the WHS and Student Services' websites.HOBY Information Letter

Attention Seniors: Admissions officers from select colleges will be here for onsite admissions. Barton College will be here on Nov. 6, Western Carolina on Nov. 12, and William Peace University on Nov. 14. If your application is complete, then you can receive an admission decision that day of the interview. Interested seniors should sign up in student services ASAP for an appointment with any of these admissions reps and then complete their application ahead of time. Additional instructions for the onsite interviews are in student services. Signups are first come first serve and for seniors only.
