Seniors: Transcript and Recommendation Information More
Seniors are reminded to use www.CFNC.org to send transcripts to in-state colleges. Use www.wcpss.net/transcripts to send transcripts to out-of-state colleges and any other program or institution. If using the common application for select colleges, counselors will upload the transcript as part of the recommendation process. Remember to give counselors and teachers 2-3 week’s notice for any needed college recommendations.

VEDU, a New Tool for College Bound Students--Sign Up Now More

Vedu is a software company that connects prospective students and colleges via a personal video essay in a safe and secure way. Students are able to use this new tool to stand out in the application process. Vedu creators have selected WHS to take part in practicing and critiquing uploaded video essays. The workshop is an interactive, one time, 90 minute session that will take place during lunch and a small part of class during College Application and Awareness Week on Wed. Nov. 12. Attention Seniors: Admissions officers from select colleges will be here for onsite admissions. Barton College will be here on Nov. 6, Western Carolina on Nov. 12, and William Peace University on Nov. 14. If your application is complete, then you can receive an admission decision that day of the interview. Interested seniors should sign up in student services ASAP for an appointment with any of these admissions reps and then complete their application ahead of time. Additional instructions for the onsite interviews are in student services. Signups are first come first serve and for seniors only.
